A Quality Partnership

A BT Pole Erection Unit from Atlas Hydraulic Loaders
The partnership between Quality Hydraulics and Kawasaki has met with considerable success within the mobile market, most notably when the alliance and combined expertise helped secure a significant order from Atlas Hydraulic Loaders (AHL) based in Hamilton, Scotland.
Having won a three year contract with British Telecom to provide BT Group Motor Transport in Birmingham with a new fleet of crane-mounted pole erection units, AHL identified the need for a directional valve with a specific spool type. In response to the challenge, KPM's research and development team engineered and built a prototype in conjunction with Quality Hydraulics to provide a higher value solution than was already used by AHL. Still supplying valves for some 400 cranes, with the possibility of other similar projects in the pipeline, KPMÕs ability to provide cost effective engineering solutions that enable customers themselves to secure prestigious contracts is summed up by Steve Francis, General Manager of AHL's sales division:
"Despite our proven track record with BT, there is always fierce competition for this contract. Price, performance and support are what matter at the end of the day."
For AHL, the project represented one of the largest single contracts of its type placed last year. For Kawasaki it demonstrated what a successful partnership can actually achieve when it combines engineering excellence and innovation with a fast, reliable and efficient service.
